Alternative Loan Lender Options
Use these private alternative loans only if you need more loan assistance than is provided through federal financial aid. It is NOT too late to complete a federal financial aid application (FAFSA) for 2009-2010. Federal grants and loans are a superior option to private education loans.
The list below is not comprehensive. The list contains alternative loan lenders that Boise State students chose to use since the 2006-2007 school year. The links will direct you to each lender's website which contains detailed information on the loan terms and application instructions. Boise State University has no affiliation with the content contained within the links.
The hyperlinks below will take you to lender web sites for education loans. Boise State does not endorse, recommend, or promote any lender or any products or loans offered by these lenders. You will need to carefully read about the different options available or call the lender so you may fully understand the various loan options. Some lenders offer loans that do not require students to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards. If you currently are ineligible for federal financial aid due to Satisfactory Academic Progress issues, make certain you check with the lender to see if they offer loans to students in your situation.
These lenders may offer "Stafford" loans to other schools. Stafford (FFELP) loans are comparable to the federal Direct Loans offered by Boise State. Make certain you are completing applications that are NOT Stafford loans.
Boise State receives no compensation from these lenders. This list is provided for students' convenience.
