Why you don't want to read the Financial Aid Handbook...

In the great tradition of David Letterman, here are the top 10 reasons students give for not reading the Financial Aid Handbook...

1. I don't want to have books for my classes
2. A loan default will help my long-term credit standing
3. I like paying the $50 late fee each semester. What else would I do with that money??
4. Um, I have, like, an issue with this whole "deadline" thing.
5. Because being caught by the "fine print" makes life exciting.
6. Why spoil a great tradition? I love standing in line the day fees are due.
7. I've been waiting for the theatrical release; I heard Spielberg is working on it.
8. I want to prove that a college student can graduate from college without reading.
9. If I read the handbook, I wouldn't have any reason to visit the Financial Aid Office to talk to the great people at the front counter.
10. I prefer to say "Nobody told me" because it always gets me out of a jam.
