Saturday, February 4th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The location for the Boise State University FAFSA Day is the Simplot-Micron Building, Room 209. Watch for signs directing you to the location.

Locations for FAFSA Day are throughout the state. Click to see the complete list. Participants may attend any of the site locations even if the student's intent is to enroll at a different college.

Financial aid staff members will be available to assist students and families wanting to complete the online 2012-2013 FAFSA. Computers will be provided. You are encouraged to complete the FAFSA with estimated income information if your 2011 taxes have not

You are advised to bring...

• Social Security Numbers for student and for parents, if student is a dependent student.*
  
• FAFSA PIN numbers: one for the student and for one parent, if student is a dependent student.* [www.pin.ed.gov]
• The student's drivers license
• Your Alien Registration Number if you are not a U.S. citizen
• Federal Tax information such as 2011 or 2010 tax returns, 2011 W2s for the student, parents, or spouse, if applicable.
• Records about untaxed income such as:
  • Social Security Benefits
  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits
  • Non-educational Veterans Benefits
  • Child support received
• Balances for cash, checking, savings accounts
• Value of investment, business, and farm assets

* Most unmarried undergraduates under the age of 24 are considered dependent for federal financial aid purposes, no matter how parents complete their taxes. If unusual circumstances have caused a student to become independent, it may be appropriate to submit a Petition for a Dependency Override.

Completing a FAFSA typically takes about 30 minutes.

To save your time on the FAFSA Day, we recommend completing and SAVING the 2012-2013 FAFSA prior to arrival. On site staff members are happy to review your saved application and assist with any of your remaining questions.
