Once you have registered for fall semester classes, you will see an amount due for your class fees. All financial aid is disbursed/processed through the BroncoWeb account. Student fees will be paid first, followed by any University housing charges. Excess financial aid is then refended to the student.
Here is when you can expect financial aid to be applied towards that amount:

Friday, August 12th disbursement of:
Pell Grants, SEOG/LEAP/SLEAP Grants, Scholarships, Subsidized & Unsubsidized loans, PLUS loans, and Alternative Loans. Perkins Loans will also disburse IF you have at least financial aid eligible 12 credits.
Caution: check to see if this aid is enough to cover all of your fall fees! If not, you need to make plans or arrangments to pay the difference before the Thursday, August 18th fee payment deadline.
On campus housing payment for July 25th can be postponed IF you have enough financial aid to pay all of your fall fees and have remaining aid in place for your fall semester housing.

These disbursement dates are accurate, if ALL of the statements below are true...
You completed a 2011-2012 FAFSA on or before March 15th, 2011 PRIORITY DEADLINE
You have no financial aid "To Do Items" or "Holds" on your BroncoWeb records
Your first class begins the week of August 22nd, 2011 (Studies Abroad students and others with later classes, your aid is scheduled to disburse 10 days before your first class begins).
Your classes have actually been added to your schedule, rather than being wait listed.
Your 2011-2012 financial aid is visible on BroncoWeb AND you have ACCEPTED aid before August 8th
You are registered for enough financial aid eligible credits* for the type of aid you will be receiving:
At least half-time enrollment for federal Direct Student Loans
12 or more credits to receive the full amount of Pell Grants
Federal Pell Grants are reduced when you are enrolled in fewer than 12 credits
12 or more credits for Perkins Loans
All internship and course credits must be in place on BroncoWeb by September 2nd in order to be included for Perkins loan and Pell Grant eligibility.
* Federal financial aid eligible credits has changed for the 2011-12 academic year. Previously passed courses may be ineligible for financial aid. Please review the Timely Tip on the Financial Aid & Scholarships web site regarding repeated courses.
Refunds will begin to appear in bank accounts and mailboxes on or about August 18th, 2011.
August 19th: Summer grades become official Satisfactory Academic Progress will be checked on all summer students prior to disbursing their fall aid. This process typically takes several days!
