  You may have been selected for verification even if you have previously been awarded 2008-2009 financial aid. Check BroncoWeb to see if you have any Financial Aid To Do items.

If you do, we strongly recommend that you complete these To Do items before June 1st. Priority Applicants must meet the June 1 deadline in order to retain their Priority status.

The verification process is a manual review and comparison of tax documents to your FAFSA. Between March and June, the verification occurs within several days of when you submit the paperwork. In July, August, and September, the verification may take several weeks because of the number of students who submit documents just before school starts.
 
 

Speed up the verification process!
 
 
  • submit the required documents to the financial aid office as soon as you can! It's okay to fax the documents. (208.426.1305)
  • double check to make certain everything is signed AND the student's name and I.D. added to each document
  • read your To Do items carefully to make certain you locate and submit each of the documents requested
  • provide us with copies of the federal tax returns, all federal tax schedules, W2s and verification forms that have been requested
  • Acceptable 2007 federal tax returns are:
    ~  Hard copies of 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ WITH SIGNATURES
    ~  Teletax hard copy WITH SIGNATURES
    ~  Tax return/W2 printouts from the IRS WITH SIGNATURES
  • complete all sections of the verification form requested, even if they do not apply. Mark each question and write "$0" if it is not applicable to your situation.
