Welcome back! We are ready to assist you with your return to Boise State!
If you were activated and
deployed by a Presidential Order, your financial aid status has likely
been affected.
There are two specific
situations which impact your financial aid eligibility that are addressed
in this Timely Tip.
- Previously "dependent"
financial aid applicants are now "independent" with proper documentation,
see below.
- Satisfactory Academic
Progress HOLDs because of complete withdrawals can be reviewed and
adjusted.

| |
If you were a
"dependent" financial aid applicant before your military activation, you
are now considered "independent."
 |
If you previously filed a
2007-2008 (for summer) or 2008-2009 FAFSA for fall 2008, you may need to make corrections to this FAFSA to
indicate that you are now a veteran. |
 |
Please provide a copy of
your DD214 Member 4 form to the Boise State Financial Aid Office |
If you have a Satisfactory
Academic Progress HOLD due to a complete withdrawal at the time you
activated for military duty...
 |
Please notify our office
that you are a veteran of the Iraq war. If, at the time of your
complete withdrawal, you provided a copy of your military orders,
Boise State
will have that on record. There is nothing else you need to do. |
 |
If you did not provide a
copy of your military orders before you withdrew, please provide a
copy of those orders to the Financial Aid Office now. A copy of your
DD214 Member 4 form may also provide the documentation we need to
review and remove your HOLD. |
