You can reduce
the amount of your loans and work-study funds, if you wish
Each award has a hyperlinked title that provides information
regarding eligibility or that award.
Using the boxes to the right of each award to accept or decline
aid is recommended in order to avoid errors.
Make certain you click "Submit" in the lower left of the screen.
Your decisions will not be recorded until you hit "Submit."
If you do not want your
federal Direct Loans or are uncertain about whether to accept them...
You are encouraged to leave
them in an "Offered" status rather than declining them.
Should you decide at a later
time that you need or want the student loans, simply return to
BroncoWeb to accept them
If you leave them as
"Offered" and later accept the loans, you can expect the loan
to be disbursed in 3-7 days after you accept them (as long as your
loan counseling and promissory note have been completed)!
Offered Direct Loans will
remain on your award until approximately February 2009.
If you "Decline" your
federal Direct Loans and later decide you need them, you may request
that the loans be reinstated, BUT it may take 2-4 weeks to manually
reinstate them.
