"In Progress" thesis credits negatively impact your satisfactory academic progress status, BUT HOLDs may be easily resolved...

IP means that the credits have not been completed. Thus, when calculating your credit completion rate, you may fall below the 75% completion rate standard...
bullet

through the automated review of students' academic progress, you may find a financial aid HOLD on your record

bullet

this is most apt to occur in programs where you register for thesis credits for each semester of your enrollment

To resolve the HOLD
bullet

your academic advisor needs to write an email message indicating whether or not you are making satisfactory progress on your thesis

bullet

the message should be sent to kelceystewart@boisestate.edu or msigler@boisestate.edu in the Financial Aid Office

bullet

if the thesis credits are the primary reason for the HOLD, it can be removed

bullet

after each spring semester, the HOLD will reappear and your academic advisor will need to send an update on your status
