What to do for summer financial aid . . .

Financial aid is available to degree-seeking students who have not used all of their annual aid eligibility and who have met all other aid eligibility requirements.

There are five things to do between now and summer session if you want to receive summer aid.

bullet If you have not already done so, complete the 2004-2005 FAFSA (financial aid application)
bullet Watch BroncoWeb for any HOLDs or TO DO items.
bullet Note that Pell Grants AND student direct loans will automatically be awarded to those summer students who are eligible recipients.

  • Shortly after you enroll in summer classes, a review will be done to determine if you have remaining eligibility. Awarding will begin in April.
  • If you do, you will receive a BroncoMail message notifying you of your eligibility. If you have not heard from us by the time your summer classes begin and you believe you have remaining financial aid eligibility, it is your responsibility to notify us.
  • The best notification is to send an e-mail message to: FAQuest@boisestate.edu . Be sure to include your name and student I.D. number.
  • Midnight, June 14: we will check your credits and finalize your Pell Grant.
  • If the credits on which we based your Pell disbursement changed, you may receive additional Pell funds or you may have to repay some of your Pell Grant.
  • Audit, challenge, and withdrawal credits are not acceptable for Pell Grants.
