If you estimated your 2004 income on your FAFSA...

...you need to make corrections to your 2005-2006 FAFSA now that your taxes are completed. If you were selected for verification and have already submitted 2004 tax returns and W2s to Boise State, we will make the corrections for you.

Make corrections online at the FAFSA website
bullet Or, you can use the paper Student Aid Report
bullet Online, select "Make Corrections to a Processed FAFSA" located in the last column on the right.

This year there is a possibility that the 2005-2006 FAFSAs will be compared to your 2004 IRS data to confirm accuracy

bullet If everything matches, you are home free
bullet Inaccurate information can result in your financial aid being delayed or cause you to have to repay funds for which you were not eligible.
bullet In addition to income and tax information, make certain you change your answers to the questions "For 2004, have you (the student or the parents) completed your IRS income tax return or another tax return...?"
~ Once you complete your taxes, you need to mark the answer "I have already filed" and/or "My parents have already filed."
bullet Dependent students need to sign the corrections AND have a parent sign the corrections.
~ Each of you may sign electronically with your PIN numbers from the U.S. Department of Education
~ On paper, each of you can sign the paper version of the Student Aid Report. Mail it to the address listed directly on the form.
bullet If you have not yet completed your 2004 federal taxes, please be sure to update your FAFSA information once your return is complete.
