Below are a few tips to help you complete the Boise State Scholarship Application.
You must use the same name and password that you use to log into my.Boisestate.edu. Students new to Boise State must first login to their my.BoiseState account based on the information provided by Boise State Admissions. For help with your name and/or password, contact the Office of Information Technology Help Desk at 208-426-HELP or email email@example.com.
You must answer all questions on the General Application to be considered for scholarships.
For additional information and clarification on most questions, click the gray circles with the question mark. Or go to this link for applicant portal help document.
Once you complete your General Application, you will be matched with scholarships for which you immediately qualify – no further action is required. To see a list of scholarships that may need additional action on your part to receive consideration, select “Recommended” under “Opportunities.” All students who qualify will be automatched to these opportunities. Qualifying does not guarantee you will receive a scholarship.
Below is a list of all scholarship opportunities within the Boise State Scholarship Application. This list shows all scholarships, not scholarships for which you are receiving consideration. Automatch scholarships will appear with “None” listed under the “Action” column – this means an additional application is not required for consideration. The “Deadline” column indicates the deadline to complete the application to receive consideration. This is not the deadline to accept the award.
The number and award amount of scholarships are for general information purposes only and should not be considered a guarantee of what you will receive if selected. Actual award amounts vary based on students’ individual eligibility, funds available, and other factors.
Not all scholarships require letters of recommendation. If a recommendation is needed, you will be prompted to enter the individual’s full name and email address. It is an expectation that you respectfully request permission to use an individual as a reference PRIOR to entering their contact information. Once the contact information is entered, an email is immediately sent to the individual with instructions for completing the recommendation. Please encourage a timely response from your reference. You will not be able to view the submitted recommendation, only that it has been received.
Not all scholarships require an essay. If an essay is needed, you will be prompted to “Add a New File.” Please attach your essay as a Word or PDF file (8mb max file size). The name of the file should be your last and first name. Do not use any special characters in the file name.
Once your Boise State Scholarship Application is completed, your Boise State personal contact, and academic information is imported from the Boise State PeopleSoft System.
